Terms and Conditions for Appliance Rental

These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of appliances (including washing machines, dryers, and other household appliances) provided by Rent and Relax Appliances LTD (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By subscribing to our rental service, you (“the customer”) agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Rental Agreement
1.1 Appliance Rental: Customers rent appliances for domestic use only. Commercial use is strictly prohibited unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
1.2 Contract Duration: The minimum rental period is either 3, as agreed upon during the subscription. Early termination is subject to a £50 break clause.
1.3 Ownership: All rented appliances remain the property of Rent and Relax Appliances LTD.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Payment Schedule: Payment is made weekly or monthly via a secure online system (powered by Stripe).
2.2 Non-Payment: Late payments or missed payments may result in service suspension or additional late fees.
2.3 Refunds: Rental fees are non-refundable unless explicitly agreed upon under exceptional circumstances.
3. Delivery and Installation
3.1 Service Inclusions: The rental fee includes delivery, installation, and collection of the appliance upon contract termination.
3.2 Delivery Date: Appliances will be delivered on a mutually agreed date.
3.3 Access Requirements: The customer must ensure the delivery location is accessible. If delivery is unsuccessful due to inaccessibility, re-delivery fees may apply.
4. Maintenance and Repairs
4.1 Service Coverage: Standard wear-and-tear repairs and maintenance are included in the rental fee.
4.2 Malfunction: Customers must report any issues or malfunctions immediately.
4.3 Damage Responsibility: Customers are responsible for damages caused by misuse, neglect, or improper handling. Additional repair fees may apply.
5. Cancellation and Termination
5.1 Cancellation Policy: Customers may cancel their subscription after the minimum contract period by providing at least 30 days’ written notice.
5.2 Early Termination: If the subscription is terminated before the minimum contract period ends, a £50 break fee will apply.
5.3 Return of Appliance: Upon cancellation, customers must allow our team to collect the appliance in its original condition (excluding standard wear and tear).
6. Liability and Warranties
6.1 No Warranty: We do not provide any warranties beyond those required by law.
6.2 Liability Limitation: We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the rented appliance.
6.3 Indemnity: Customers agree to indemnify Rent and Relax Appliances LTD against any claims or damages caused by misuse or failure to follow appliance instructions.
7. Customer Obligations
7.1 Proper Use: Customers must use the appliance in accordance with the provided instructions.
7.2 Electrical and Plumbing Requirements: Customers must ensure proper electrical outlets and plumbing connections are available for the appliance.
7.3 Access for Repairs: Customers must provide access to the appliance for maintenance, repair, or collection as necessary.
8. Data Protection
8.1 Customer Data: Personal data collected during the subscription process is stored securely and used solely for the purposes of providing rental services.
8.2 Third-Party Services: Payment details are handled by Stripe, and we do not store your payment information.
9. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes via email or website notification.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
